Slash the Trash

Join us as we celebrate Earth Week throughout April by cleaning up the litter in our communities! We encourage you to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors while slashing the trash at the same time! Make sure you post your pictures to social media with the hashtag #SlashtheTrash and tag us! Our safety tips: DO: Wear gloves (work, garden, or winter gloves will do!) Bring 2 bags - 1 for trash & 1 for recycling! Wear bright colored clothing or a safety vest to be visible by traffic & good walking shoes. Face oncoming traffic when on the street and look up often to monitor approaching vehicles. Provide proper adult supervision for children at all times. DON'T: Overfill trash bags Pick up sharp objects, medical supplies, potentially dangerous chemicals, electrical items, or any other object that you are unsure of.
